Information only
Mobile Home Move Guide is a general information site. We are not a mover, installer, set-up contractor, dealer, or government agency, and we hold no license to move or set up manufactured homes. We don't perform, arrange, supervise or guarantee any work, we don't set prices, and we never take payment from homeowners. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, or engineering advice.
Accuracy
We cite a source for each rule and fee and date every page. Guides were last verified against their sources on October 28, 2026. Permits, fees and rules change from state to state and year to year, and we may make mistakes, so information may be incomplete or out of date. Confirm with the issuing office (the state transportation department, your county tax office, your local inspections office, your state's installer licensing agency) before you act; that office's current rules control. National pages are general and may not reflect your state's rules. Report errors to hello@mobilehomemoveguide.com.
Contractors
We don't rate, rank, recommend or vet contractors. Before sharing a request, we check that the contractor's license for the work shows active in the state's search (currently we share requests only in North Carolina), but that is not an endorsement. If you hire a contractor, the contract is between you and it, and it alone is responsible for its work, prices, licenses, insurance and permits. Check its license and registration yourself before you hire. Contractors may pay us a referral fee for requests you choose to share.
Estimates
Cost figures are ranges from published national surveys, plus fees set by state law where a state guide cites them. They are not quotes or offers.
No warranty; limit of liability
The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any contractor's acts, and our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to $100. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law of your state doesn't allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by North Carolina law, except where the law of your state requires otherwise.
