Mobile Home Move Guide is an independent, plain-language guide to moving a mobile or manufactured home in the United States. We are not a moving company, installer, set-up contractor, dealer, lender, or government agency.
How we make pages
- Every rule or price links to a primary source (statute, regulation, government agency) or a named cost survey.
- National guides cover what's true everywhere. A state gets its own guide only after we've checked its rules against primary sources; today that's North Carolina. We don't publish copy-and-paste state or city pages.
- We re-check sources at least every 6 months and date every page. Last full check: October 28, 2026.
How the site makes money
If you ask for quotes on the estimate form (moves in North Carolina for now), we email you the names of up to 3 contractors with an active state license and pass your request to the ones you confirm. Those contractors may pay us a referral fee. We and they contact you by email only. That doesn't change what our guides say. We don't rate, rank or recommend contractors, we don't publish reviews, and no business can pay to change a rule summary or to appear in a guide.
